Texas

We went down to Montgomery (close to Houston) for a week of vacationing. We visited Jori's dad. It was HOT & HUMID & I loved every second of it!!! Here are some highlights from our trip!

Soccer Season

Sawyer has his first soccer practice tonight at 5:00. I am nervous and anxious and excited for him. I woke up early thinking I can no longer procrastinate, he needs his own shin guards, socks and ball. We must go out today BEFORE 5:00 and get them! Fortunatley for an older sister who has played the previous 3 seasons we have hand me down cleats and for some reason they happened to be black w/ red nike swooshes...so we are good in the shoe department.=)It'll be Sadie that will be getting the new cleats this season and seeing as her first practice is on Thursday this week, I probably should get those while I'm out too! I'm guessing she'll go for pink this year; that's her thing now. I will certainly be taking pictures of these events this week, but can't make any promises to whether I get around to posting them on my blog or not. But stay tuned nonetheless. Thanks for checking in (if you did) it's been a while, but I might be coming back around.=)

March Projects

Here are some of the things I've been working on around the house for the month of March.

*Cornice Board (love how it turned out & it was soooo easy, I'll be doing more of these in the future.=))
*Wall ledges painted w/ family pictures of great memories (a little more expensive than I was hoping for...but well worth it as everytime I pass the pictures I smile)
*Homemade & inspired seashell artwork (besides the sepia ink from my printer, this project was free...I already had these frames sitting around my house)
*Homemade Beach Signs (thanks to the use of my cricut expression)
*Newly painted Craig's List chandelier. (Unfortunately I don't have a "before" pic, but it was dark bronze colored w/ no shades)
*New curtains (I didn't sew these or anything, I just used them in an unusual place; I was inspired to hide all of Sadie's junk in her closet, but her closet doors kept breaking off of the track, so this was my new solution. I love it!)








NOTE: The pictures are not in order with my list.* I still can't seem to ever get them to upload in the order I want. Gggrrr... Oh, well!

March Projects

Yet another project...

I'm starting to think I should change my blog to be about my home makeover projects and inspirations.=) Especially since I blog once a month if I'm lukcy!

Saturday

My husband is gone in Vail (for work). He left yesterday morning and is gone through Wednesday. It's a quiet/boring weekend without him around. We miss him dearly and can't wait for his arrival back home. It gives me a new appreciation for all of those military wives out there...who's husbands are deployed for months and months and months at a time. I'm pretty sure I couldn't make it. We depend on him so much around here. He is a huge blessing to me as a husband, my kids as a father. I don't say it enough, but I appreciate him so very much...as I know my kids do too! We love you Jori!!!xoxoxox
