It's hard to say goodbye...

It hit me that this isn't an easy trip on my husband when I saw my two year old, almost three yr. old, crying when waving goodbye to his daddy! Jori left about 1 1/2 hrs. ago to Minnesota for his grandma's funeral. He was asked to be a poll-bearer. Saying good-bye is never easy when you are saying it to loved ones. Jori was pretty close to his grandma growing up; spending many weekends at her house having sleepovers, baking cookies together, playing at the park and summer road trips. She suffered with Parkinson's disease over the last 10 yrs. and has slowly been going downhill since...it was only a matter of time, but it's never easy saying good-bye! Coming back to the initial thought...Sawyer HATES saying good-bye to people. He gets so sad, even if it's just for a few minutes when mommy/daddy run out to get gas at Loaf-n-Jug or gone to Bible Study for an hr. It was extra hard for him tonight and the crocodile tears and shouts for "daddy" echoing outside broke my heart!!! How sweet I thought. How much emotion can flow from a little boy's heart. It's hard to say good-bye.

P.S.Jori is driving through the night by himself and is leaving right after the funeral to be back in time to hopefully coach Sadie's soccer game Saturday morning. Talk about a quick trip. Please say a prayer for him and his safety (for me)!!!
Thanks. =)
