Yesterday...

I sat at my computer nearly all day I'm ashamed to admit.
I was planning to the "T" our first family vacation & all
of the tiny details so we can fully enjoy it when the time
arrives. We are headed to California at the end of June for
10 days to visit my Grandma (whose never met my kids) which
is the main reason we are going.

I am so excited I can hardly stand it! I realize I am taking
a (then) 3 yr. old and 4 yr. old along, but keep in mind what
an idealist I am. =)I have visions of:
* frolicking along the beach
* holding hands
* taking unbelievable black & white photos of my children in their suits
* everyone happy 100% of the time
* no fighting
* sunny days
* evening walks
* no naps necessary

I laugh at my own naive thinking writing this out-loud.
Even an idealist realizes this is too good to be true! =)

I'm sure it will probably be more like this:
* "Are we there yet"? after being stuck in the car for more than 11 hours
* Screaming, pinching, crying
* LOTS of whining!!!
* Temper tantrums
* Potty accidents
* Tired children who NEED naps
* Plans going to the way-side
* Getting lost on occassion
* Weather not cooperating
And other things I'm sure I haven't thought of.

At least I'm preparing myself---plans or no plans.
