Be still...

"Be still, and know that I am God." Psalm 46:10

When we are still, we can discover face-to-face intimacy with God.
Restfulness is a form of awareness, a way of being amid the noise of life. It is being in my ordinary, busy life with a sense of ease, gratitude, appreciation, peace and prayer. It is the robin sitting peacefully on her nest, perched on a branch above the thundering waterfall.

Psalm 131:1,2 "My heart is not proud, O Lord,
my eyes are not haughty;
I do not concern myself with great matters
or things too wonderful for me.
But I have stilled and quieted my soul;
like a weaned child with its mother,
like a weaned child is my soul within me."

When God, in a beautiful way, silenced my soul in His presence, I was not seeking an experience, I was seeking God himself

Suggestions for Worship Time:

*Ask God to teach you about worship---just be still before Him.
*Pray "The Quiet Prayer" (I'll post this another time)
*Pray Psalm 131, asking God to reveal to you how your soul can be stilled.
*Put on a headset and worship with worship music. Sing or say the music to your God.
