Great idea to make a list. I should print this out as reminders when these special days come.
I have a student that at dinner they describe their day with a rose. Rose=best thing that happened to you that day, Thorn=worse thing that happened, Bud=something you're looking forward to for tomorrow.
that should be worst thing. :)
I have 2 to add.
For Valentine's Day, Eric and I always stay home and make a new dinner. We've never been a fan of fighting the crowds on that holiday. So during the day I make a big breakfast/lunch with hear-shaped things and balloons for the kids, then we put the kids to bed early and start cooking together. It's been a great tradition. I'm sure we'll include the kids in a couple of years, but right now it's still the 2 of us.
For Christmas, Eric and I always get away at some point by ourselves...even if it's one night before we go to bed...to exchange our gifts to each other. It's just some special time we can share together.
