Workout

My workout today was really good! I went with my sis, which is always fun to have someone to work out with; it's motivating, encouraging & with her...funny! ;)We laugh a lot, which I figure is extra calories burned.
We started out on the treadmills running/walking side by side. We burned nearly 150 calories, which doesn't sound like a lot, but if you had seen the sweat rolling off my body---you would've thought I just got done running a marathon. he-hee! I just sweat a lot. (You should know this) Then we did the machine circuit (legs today) & finished with abs. It felt sooo good.
I really need/want to keep it up because a.)I'm going to be on the beach in 43 days, b.)lifting weights speeds up your metabolism & c.) the scale has not been friendly to me lately.
I'm still trying to figure out what I've been doing wrong lately. 1 yr. ago (well, I keep using this phrase, but now I'm learning it's been a little longer than a yr. ago, more like a yr. ago in Feb.)I was at my tiniest. Literally the smallest I've been EVER (even High School). I was light, fit and could wear a size 4. Let's just say I'm not there anymore and not very happy about that. I think in all honesty it's my eating habits. I've slowly been eating bigger portions again and not practicing self-control as much as I obviously should be. It's a bummer and a struggle and will probably always be a struggle and that alone sucks. It's also a bit irritating cause I seem to have a handful of friends who just naturally have GREAT genes & I mean they can eat WHATEVER they want WHENEVER they want. They just have wonderful speedy metabolisms---it's not fair! Gggrrrr. This is frustrating to someone who works out so hard M-F just to lose a pound or rather NOT gain a pound!!! I want to wear my size four again, I want to be light on the scale again, I want to run and NOT feel my buns jiggle. Is this so much to ask???
