A thankful trigger is something like a train "choo-chooing" or passing your child's school or a certain song on the radio. It really can be anything you choose, but the idea is to stop whatever it is you are doing and praise God with a heart of gratitude. Thanking God for your children (when passing their school) or a friend (when hearing a song that reminds you of a memory with them), etc. The more you practice the better you will get at having an attitude of gratitude.
*I didn't come up with this on my own (I wish;)) this is based on the book by Linda Dillow, "Satisfy my Thirsty Soul."

Hi Courtney - thanks for the note on my blog!! Great job on the workout!! Good luck with dinner tonight! The whole food thing is my biggest challenge too. If I could live off of coke and chocolate chip cookies...I would! I miss the Springs! I lived there for 8 years before moving to Northern Colorado..and now in North Carolina. Keep in touch!

I kept a "thankful journal" for awhile. Each day I would write down 5 things. It's fun to go back and look through. Some of the things are so simple.
I should get Corey to try the train whistle trigger. He hates the trains here in town (lots of them) and gets so frustrated. We could turn the trains into a positive thing! :)
